I will probably see that when it comes out on DVD. Very few movies do I go to the theatre any more. I rather watch them at home on my own HDTV w/ surround sound. This way I can pause it and pee. Or if I am iterrupted with the phone I can pause it and pee while answering the phone.

I will definately be seeing that one. The medium really seems to suit Tim Burton.

You know, and alot of people hate me for this, but I just don't like Johnny Depp (He trys way too hard and he's been in EVERY film so far >.<). BUT this film does look interesting to say the least, and should have some good humor. Now if I can just get past those kids who try to create a culture out of this stuff I'll be able to get to the theatre o_O

Actually I was just reading Entertainment Weekly and saw an article about it. The director said that this movie is directed towards adults NOT children. He also says that the movie has no sense of humor and has horrific scenes...
Read it from E-weekly

Remind me to never borrow your phone...
I knew nokias don't come in a shade of brown. And that yellow liquid in the screen is not just a radiation reducing mechanism (although water does absorb microwave radiation - I don't think it's yellow water tho).

As good as anyone's home entertainment setup makes a movie experience just as good as home due to stuff you mentioned, like bathroom breaks, there still is nothing like seeing a film on the big screen.
I don't think it's the experience that is equal. It is the quality of films these days. If a movie is good, it is worth seeing in the theater. Surveys have also shown this to be true. Films are the best value for the entertainment dollar, but not when they are average at best.
The problem is Hollywood competes with their own ticket sales when they make films that will be more successful in the home viewing market. Sure, it helps them too with dvd sales, but a good film will provide good ticket sales in theaters AND good dvd sales.
Hollywood is commiting suicide with all the retreads and remakes. Especially when the internet is poised to become a vehicle for independant films that are willing to take chances.
